This workshop’s aim is to discuss early conceptions of diagnostics and prognostics as a procedure for genuine medical knowledge and their interpretation and adaption in later times and other cultures.

Invited speakers include Jacques Jouanna (Paris), Piero Tassinari (Newcastle), Oliver Overwien (Berlin), Caroline Petit (Warwick), Christine Salazar (Berlin).

The meeting is co-organised by AhP-Research group “Medicine of the Mind, Philosophy of the Body” and co-funded by the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung.
